  As part of the overhaul, all components are precisely measured and processed. The bearing clearance between the individual components is adjusted to lifetime and performance set and thus ensures an especially smooth engine operation. In combination with high-quality bearing shells, this engine is also ideally suited for the sporty driver.
• Reinforced pistons
  When driven with increased performance or in a sporty manner, this engine tends to suffer from piston damage in the ring zone area. It is not uncommon for oil consumption to reach 0.5L/1000km or more, and both compression and power decrease significantly. The increased temperature in the combustion chamber then mainly stresses the pistons and valves. Modified pistons, improved piston rings, and a specially honed cylinder surface provide a remedy.
